Top Ten Flies for August 2017

As summer starts to retreat (we are just a month away from Autumn), we are seeing activity changing on the water. Fish activity is picking up from the peak heat of the summer, and as such the patterns in our top 10 have seen a dramatic switch. Our Orange Apache is now sitting on top spot (last month the white's and blacks were the most popular). We are seeing more interest in a range of midges, as well as daddy long legs taking a couple of places on this month's chart.

We also get excited when Sea Trout patterns make it; our chart is nearly always dominated by Trout patterns, but all types of fish are eligible. If you want to see a particular pattern which we don't stock but think may be a hit, let us know and we'll do our best to have some tied for you!
