Pattern Dressings

  • Hook : 6-12 longshank.
  • Thread : Black.
  • Tail : Muskrat guard hair.
  • Body : Muskrat dubbing.
  • Hackle : Muskrat guard hair as a collar.
  • Head : Black ostrich herl.

Polly's original version uses muskrat for tail & body, peacock herl for the head. Originally, the body hair was wrapped on with a split thread, but most people now probably use a dubbing loop.
